As the rights-of-way fill up with underground utilities and as the infrastructure moves out further into the rural areas, we find that the need for easements are becoming more commonplace. These can be an effective piece of the puzzle, but can be complex…especially when a landowner recognizes a large enterprise is behind the project, and then takes an unrealistic view of what the easement is worth. On December 5th, 2015 the new national transportation infrastructure bill was signed. This 5-year program will invest $61 billion in public transportation and $300 billion on the nation’s highways and is the first of its kind in 10 years. As the need for the design of this infrastructure grows, so too will its need for relocation design for the existing infrastructure that supports it. Typically, this work would be performed by the utilities themselves but more and more outside consultants are being asked to help. Our utility coordination group specializes in the support of DOT’s either revitalizing bridges, widening roads, or designing new highways, and our team of utility coordination specialists has been providing this service for over 30 years.
Outside Plant Engineering solutions for your site
Outside Plant (OSP) refers to the design of infrastructure located in the public right of way (ROW). The advantages of placing this infrastructure in the ROW are many, and so are the challenges. At USA Engineering, we are capable of solving even the most difficult problems. OSP design has been a specialty of the team members at USA Fiber for more than 35 years. Everything from utility coordination, to design, to program management and even easement acquisition, we can provide end to end solutions for all of your infrastructure needs.
Wireless Engineering the modern wireless world
Over the last decade, the available properties for tower locations have been more difficult to locate, and many times when an agreeable landlord is found, the site presents many technical challenges that threaten the viability of the site. From the environmentally sensitive property to intricate rooftop or structural designs to Small Cell Network Design, USA Engineering has the broad and diverse experience to identify and these challenges and determine the nominal method to deliver effective solutions.

The same Engineers that design and analyze towers and mounts are trained and certified to climb towers and in partnership with our inspection teams can provide hands-on mappings and inspections. The ability to combine our Design and Permitting expertise with our various construction groups gives USA Engineering the unique ability to provide in-house planning, design, and construction to our clients on projects ranging from tower and foundation modifications to regional network upgrades to complex Small Cell/DAS projects. In addition to a streamlined process, our Turnkey Solutions allows us to tailor our design to the strengths of our construction groups to deliver a more cost-effective and timely solution to your needs.
Tower and Foundation Modifications – In partnership with USA Structural we develop alternate structural upgrade options tailored to our fabrication and installation expertise. In many instances, alternate upgrade methodologies such as helical anchors vs. micropiles, can provide generous cost savings.
New Site Development and Network Upgrades – In partnership with USA-ComServ, our broad experience of design, structural analysis, inventory control, logistics, and construction allow us to streamline any aggressive Network Construction or Upgrade Project Schedule and Budget.
